What are the screening steps that AccuScreener supports?
AccuScreener supports a complete, multi-stage citation screening workflow in line with systematic review best practices. The supported stages are:
• First-Pass Screening (FPS): In title- and abstract-based FPS, AccuScreener assess each citation based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria to determine whether it warrants further review.
• Full-Text Screening (FTS): Reviewers evaluate the full-text PDF of each citation that passed the first-pass stage, applying more detailed eligibility criteria to make a final inclusion or exclusion decision.
• Mini Data Extraction: A mini data (summary overview) extraction feature is available at the FTS stage, allowing reviewers to capture key study characteristics (e.g., population, sample size, study design, study acronym, outcomes) without needing to proceed immediately for a comprehensive Excel-based data extraction using AccuSynthesis module.
This step-wise approach ensures rigorous, transparent, and reproducible screening in accordance with PRISMA guidelines.
