AQUA (A Quick Universal Abbreviation tool) is designed to streamline the process of compiling abbreviation lists during report and manuscript preparation, a task that is often time-consuming and error-prone when done manually.


AQUA automatically scans the uploaded document, identifies all abbreviations and their corresponding full forms, and generates a comprehensive abbreviations list in two formats:

  • Tabular format: a structured table listing abbreviations alongside their definitions, ready for insertion as a 'List of Abbreviations' section in a report.
  • Running format: abbreviations listed in the order they first appear in the document, useful for inline reference or appendix-style presentation.
